The biggest thing to hit the DC Universe since DARK NIGHTS METAL begins this Summer in DC Knight Terrors — the first major event to hit the DC Universe in the new DAWN OF DC era!!! New villain INSOMNIA ushers in the DCU’s heroes and villains worst nightmares, and alters reality itself — Does GOTHAM have an ELM STREET? It might after this!

With INSOMNIA, this cosmic-level villain takes the undead ghoulishness of Nekron resurrecting dead DC heroes and villains, and the BATMAN WHO LAUGHS bringing the DARK MULTIVERSE into play to even more depraved heights as the very psychology of the DC icons we know and love is invaded.

INSOMNIA will be bringing something that’s even more fearsome than the DARK MULTIVERSE itself to the DCU as a whole, as the entire DCU is turned into a nightmare realm that brings the worst fears and anxieties of the DC heroes and villains to the surface.. and leaves many of our favorite characters forever changed.

The next Dawn of DC milestone event takes place in July and August and will feature a host of two-issue miniseries, each spot lighting a DC Super Hero or Super-Villain confronting their worst nightmares in a “Nightmare Realm.” DC is today unveiling details of the main Knight Terrors miniseries as well as all of the superstar creative teams on the Super-Villain miniseries.

Knight Terrors is a miniseries in which Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman find the body of one of their earliest enemies at the Hall of Justice. Their investigation takes them past the land of the living, beyond the land of the dead, into a realm of nightmares . The only way to save the world is to call for the help of an unlikely hero, Deadman.

“I love horror comics, and it’s been a blast bringing the energy to Dawn of DC. Knight Terrors showcases the horror side of our heroes as a brand-new villain confronts them with their worst nightmares,” said Joshua Williamson. “It’s a fun and horrific event that brings together all of the heroes and villains of DC, along with some surprises!”

The main Knight Terrors story will take place over four issues written by Williamson with art by Giuseppe Camuncoli (The Joker), Stefano Nesi and Caspar Wijngaard (Home Sick Pilots), in which Boston Brand—a.k.a. Deadman—serves as the supernatural tour guide! Following the events of Knight Terrors: First Blood #1, everyone in the world is trapped inside their nightmares, and Batman and Deadman are trying to figure out who Insomnia really is…and why he wants revenge on the heroes of the DC Universe!
