ALL ABOUT THIRD EYE AUCTIONS

Score great deals on hidden gems from the Third Eye warehouses!

WHAT IS THIRD EYE AUCTIONS?

Third Eye Auctions is a special Facebook group we run where we put up special items unearthed in the many Third Eye warehouses all week long.

Every auction starts at $1.00, runs for 24 hours, and each day is theme’d to one of the many cool things we have at Third Eye: be it comics, tabletop games, toys, or many other items!

In addition: we often do special one-day events themed around a type of item!

HOW DOES THIRD EYE AUCTIONS WORK?

First stepjoin our Third Eye Auctions Facebook Group by clicking here! Please note: we ask a couple of questions for folks to join to verify you’re a real deal person, and not Skynet trying to rain on our auction parade! So, please make sure to answer those! 😉

Second step – keep your eyes posted, as AUCTIONS go live at 12PM EST Mondays thru Fridays, and then close the following day at 10AM EST.

Third step – When you see an item you’re interested in, just comment on that post with your bid amount ($1, $5, etc).

Fourth step – The bidder with the highest winning bid time-stamped at 10AM EST is the winner.

A special note about winning bids & time-stamps!

The way the Facebook platform works is what we see on the administrator end is not down to the second (i.e 9:59:59), but instead is just (9:59 AM or 10:00AM) – which means that you should keep putting your bids in right at 10AM, to ensure yours is time-stamped 10AM! Worst case scenario: your time-stamp says 10:01AM, and you’re not our winner, but best case scenario: you got in on time!

Fifth Step – Our AUCTIONS team will do a WINNERS POST at 1PM EST the day those auctions closed, tagging each winning bidder, and including instructions on how to finalize your auction wins & pay for them!

Final Step – Your auction wins are then either processed to be picked up at one of our many storefronts (check here for your nearest Third Eye location!), or if you’re not local, to be shipped to you for just $5!

OK, OK, THIS SOUNDS FUN! ARE THERE ANY RULES?

We’re not a big fan of rules at Third Eye, but: for something like this, we do have a few rules to help keep the auctions fun for all!

1 – BE COOL! Don’t be rude to other members, or team Third Eye. 🙂 Like anything else we do at Third Eye, we want Third Eye Auctions to be a fun and welcoming place for all, and we have a zero tolerance policy for any kind of behavior that’s just plain not cool.

This extends to bullying, hate speech, mocking another user, or really just anything that would make someone stop and say: “hey don’t be a jerk!”

2 – MUST BE A REAL FACEBOOK PROFILE

To join our group, you do need to answer 3 questions when joining, and one of those is providing your email address to verify you are a real user.

This helps us avoid fake accounts coming in to mess with the bidding process.

3 – NO SOLICITING SALES TO OTHER AUCTIONS MEMBERS OR ADVERTISING OTHER SALES CHANNELS

While we love seeing our fellow sellers, stores & more do cool stuff, in the Third Eye Auctions Group, we do request no reaching out to other members to sell items, or invite them to other sales channels.

We want to make sure you all have a great experience in the group, and if we’re not able to help be a part of the experience, we realize there’s a risk of you getting a less-than-stellar experience in the group, and we do not want Third Eye to be associated to that!

4 – INVOICES MUST BE PAID WITHIN 24 HOURS OF RECEIPT

All invoices must be paid within 24 hours of being sent to the winning bidder.

In order to ensure we’re able to get items quickly shipped or transferred to a Third Eye store, this is a must!

Any buyers who do not pay their invoice within 24 hours of receipt will be banned from the group.

5 – ONLY USE COMMENTS FOR MAKING BIDS – NOTHING ELSE! 🙂

It helps our team close out auctions quicker and easier when the comments are just the bid amounts (i.e $2, $3, 5, etc).

Please avoid posting anything that is not just your bid, and please do not post emojis on others comments, as that does help make the closing process a bit more difficult since we do “like” the winning bid for our own reference.

6. – ONLY BID IN FULL DOLLAR AMOUNTS!

Only bid in full dollar amounts – i.e $1, $5, $10, $17, etc. Not $1.25, $3.35, etc.

7 – ALL WINNING DECISIONS ARE FINAL!

Once a winner is declared, that winner is final. If an error is made on our part, our team will reach out to resolve it.

Please do not debate winning bids, as that does make it harder to keep this super fun thing going!

If you’re ever concerned an error was made, you can email auctions@thirdeyecomics.com to request a time-stamp of the winning bid & your bid to verify.

8 – WINNING BIDDER IS DECIDED BY HIGHEST BID TIME-STAMPED 10AM!

In order to give everyone an opportunity to get that winning time stamp, comments are manually closed beginning at 10:01AM EST!

9 – NO EDITING / DELETING BIDS!

We can see edit history on the bids, so please do not do that! 🙂 If you wish to have a bid removed, please email auctions@thirdeyecomics.com & our team will ensure it’s removed.

Anyone that is caught editing or removing bids will be banned from the group without warning.

10 – RESPECT EVERYONE’S PRIVACY!

Part of what’s awesome about this group is that it’s a thriving, and active community of real live fans bidding & having fun!

But this also means: we want to protect everyone’s privacy!

Please do not share anything from within the group outside of the group.
