The new Magic: The Gathering – Assassin’s Creed release is an awesome crossover that brings the immersive world of Assassin’s Creed into the realm of Magic: The Gathering. This set combines the best elements of both worlds, bringing iconic characters, historical settings, and exciting storylines from Assassin’s Creed into the strategic and collectible card game format of Magic: The Gathering.
This set is special because it celebrates 16 years of Assassin’s Creed storytelling and promises unique cards, exclusive artwork, and gameplay mechanics that will honor the deadly essence of Assassin’s Creed.
Let’s talk Beyond Boosters: Assassin’s Creed introduces Beyond Boosters, which are special packs that are designed with the intention of providing a unique journey through the Assassin’s Creed universe. Unlike typical draft boosters, these contain a mix of new cards and reprints, inspired by a similar concept from previous sets but with a larger card pool!! Each Beyond Booster includes three non-foil uncommon cards, one non-foil land or scene card, one non-foil rare or mythic card, one traditional foil card of any rarity, and one Booster Fun variant card. Additionally, there are also three special created minigames that are exclusively found in the Beyond Boosters.
MTG INTRODUCES NEW THEME: ASSASSIN’S MATTER
The new Assassin’s Creed set in Magic: The Gathering has an awesome “Assassins-matter” theme, which means many of the cards and mechanics focus on Assassins. Here are some key features:
- Freerunning Mechanic: This new feature lets you cast a spell for a reduced cost if you hit your opponent with an Assassin or your Commander during that turn.
- Returning Mechanics: The set brings back several older mechanics like Historic, Disguise, and Cloak, which add depth and flavor to the gameplay.
- Special Returns for Flavor: To enhance the Assassin’s Creed theme, the set temporarily reintroduces the Detain mechanic, as well as Islandwalk and Shroud abilities.
