The title is an homage to the album Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music by Ray Charles and also references the philosophical and cultural aesthetic of metamodernism.

POST-PUNK LEGENDS THE CHAMELEONS ICONIC STRANGE TIMES GETS A DOPE NEW REISSUE!

Triple turquoise colored vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition of The Chameleons classic studio album ‘Strange Times’, released with the full co-operation of the band. This brand-new package features 3 x heavyweight, colored vinyl in a triple gatefold sleeve featuring new artwork by guitarist Reg Smithies. The album has been re-mastered by Guy Massey (who undertook the Script of the Bridge restoration) and cut at Abbey Road by Frank Arkwright.

Featuring classic tracks such as ‘Swamp Thing’, Soul in Isolation’, ‘Caution’ and ‘Tears’ – this was one of the most influential albums ever to come out of Manchester, with Noel Gallagher once posting on his Instagram “..I’d forgotten how much this album meant to me. It came out in ’86. I was 19!! I’ve been listening to it every day since and I have to say it’s blown my mind… again!” Previous vinyl versions of Strange Times were compromised by the running time of the LP (at least ten minutes longer than any pressing plant recommends). So the band and production team took the decision to split the main album across 4 sides playing at 45rpm with the bonus tracks on a separate disc.

MOTOWN LEGENDS THE SUPREMES’S ICONIC WE REMEMBER SAM COOKE GETS A MUST-HAVE REISSUE!

Truly one of the most iconic of their era, the SUPREMES never go out of style, and whenever we get a chance to shout out their records: we love to do it!

The Supremes’ fifth studio album, We Remember Sam Cooke, was released by Motown in April 1965 and was a tribute to Sam Cooke, who had died the previous December. Featuring Sam Cooke covers, such as “A Change Is Gonna Come,” “You Send Me,” “Ain’t That Good News” (led by Florence Ballard), and the delightful “Wonderful World.” It was the second most successful in a series of themed albums, peaking at #5 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart.

ROB ZOMBIE’S LUNAR INJECTION KOOL AID ECLIPSE CONSPIRACY GETS A NEW PRESSING THIS WEEK!!!

Originally released in 2021 “The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy” is a classic ZOMBIE album through and through with high-energy ragers like ‘The Eternal Struggles of the Howling Man’ and ‘Get Loose’ to heavy-groove thumpers like ‘Shadow Of The Cemetery Man’ and ‘Shake Your Ass-Smoke Your Grass’. Since the release of the album, Rob Zombie has stayed busy producing, writing, and directing the film “The Munsters” and in 2023 he co-headlined a massive North American tour with Alice Cooper with direct support from industrial music legends Ministry. Starting in Aug 2024 a second leg of that tour will begin taking Zombie, Cooper and Ministry across the country to markets they missed on the 2023 run of dates. In 2022 “The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy” was nominated for the Grammy Best Metal Performance of the Year and has been repressed many times, including a limited edition 2023 Black Friday Record Store Day Edition that sold out immediately.
