ABOUT TRISH FORSTNER
“Trish Forstner is a relative newcomer to the comic industry but brings a lifetime of experience in creating fun, lovable characters. She’s been drawing since she could hold a pencil. Trish loves classic animation and has drawn influence from many sources, particularly Classic 80s and 90s toons. You’ve seen her work most recently in IDW’s MY LITTLE PONY comic series. She Co-Creates STRAY DOGS with Tony Fleecs.”
TRISH’S TOP THREE ANTHROPOMORPHIC COMICS!
STRAY DOGS
“This book is a fast paced thriller that pulls on your heart strings. You see the world of a serial killer from an all new perspective, that of a group of dogs. You really feel and care for how each dog reacts. Each character has their own personality and they overflow with emotion.”
This may be a bit of self promo for Trish – but it’s totally warranted! Stray Dogs is one of the best and unique horror comics we’ve seen in a long time! It’s Lady and the Tramp meets Silence of the Lambs! And there’s nothing that pulls on the heartstrings more than dogs in tragedy!
‘It’s scary being the new dog.
In this suspenseful new series, readers meet Sophie, a dog who can’t remember what happened. She doesn’t know how she ended up in this house. She doesn’t recognize any of these other dogs. She knows something terrible happened, but she just…can’t…recall…Wait! Where’s her lady? Now Sophie has to figure out where she is, what’s happening, and how she’s going to survive this. They say there’s no such thing as a bad dog-just bad owners.’
GOOD BOY
“Do you like insane, chaotic violence? Do you like an organic, wild art style? This book is wild fun, turning the plot of the John Wick movies to say “What if the human died and the dog went on a vengeance quest to find his killers?” Just plain chaotic fun.”
Good Boy is a recent release that we’ve also been loving here at Third Eye! It’s a fun, action packed and emotionally charged series of vengeance and what it means to be mans best friend! This loyal dog will take any means necessary to avenge his human after trying to leave the shady life goes south!
‘Flint Sparks and his human Jon, both former mercenaries, have settled down in quiet retirement from an industry where the job is supposed to be forever. But, unlike anyone before, they found a way out. However, this new life, filled with peace and joy, is not to be. In the dead of night, some of their former “colleagues,” who disagree with their decision to retire, break into their home and murder Jon, leaving Flint alive in the bloody aftermath. They killed his human. He wants revenge.’
SLAPSTICK
“This book posed the question “What if you had the powers of a cartoon character?” It was right up my alley. The cast of characters was crazy and the story was a lot of fun.”
Slapstick is a Marvel sleeper hit! With the character first debuting in the early 1990s, he’s had a few wacky and wild appearances since then! This average clown turned Looney Tunes style character has some serious powers and he’s wreaked havoc across the Marvel universe!
‘Steve Harmon was an average teenager with an average job as your average clown, living in average New Jersey. But after being zapped by weird and mysterious extradimensional energy, Steve became Slapstick – a living, breathing cartoon character! Now, after joining – and then quitting – Deadpool’s Mercs for Money, Slapstick is striking out on his own! Sure, he’s gotta move back in with his parents, but he gets to team up with the Amazing Spider-Man and meet adorable (but deadly) little minotaurs, so there’s that! And when he embarks on a very personal mission, Slapstick will have to work with far stranger allies – like the War D.O.G.S., America’s Best Friends! But can these patriotic pups help Steve get to Dimension Ecch, where a throne of games awaits him?’
