Third Eye Faithful, tis the season of giving! And we’ve got something really cool this November to give back to the community and to our faithfuls! The day before Turkey Day is our very first THIRD EYE GAMES GIVING FOOD DRIVE!
For our comic fans Wednesday 11/22/23 is LOCAL COMIC SHOP DAY but this year we wanted to do something fun for our games peeps as well — so join in on Games Giving & donate for a discount!
All the food donations we collect, as well as a monetary donation made by Third Eye will be given to the Anne Arundle County Food Bank to help fight food insecurity within our community!
DONATE & ROLL!
We’re collecting food donations for the Anne Arundle County Food Bank and making it a little extra fun for our Faithfuls!
Each food donation you bring gets you a roll of a D20 at check out (up to 3 rolls per customer) — the highest number you roll is your discount! (EX: 1 donation = 1 roll, 3 donations = 3 rolls, 4 donations = 3 rolls)
Bring 6 food donations – get a crit! (Automatic 20% off – no need to roll!)
ACCEPTABLE FOOD DONATIONS!
Here are the guidelines for donations from the Anne Arundle County Food Bank!
They are looking for shelf-stable items, especially those high in fiber and low in both sodium and sugar.
HIGH PRIORITY ITEMS
- Peanut butter and jelly (plastic jars)
- 1-pound bags or boxes of rice
- 1-pound bags of dry beans and legumes (pinto, black, lentils)
- Healthy snacks (breakfast bars, dried fruit, etc.)
- Baby food and formula
- Nutritional shakes (Ensure, Boost)
ALSO IN DEMAND
- Canned soup and stews
- Canned fruit
- Canned vegetables
- Canned fish (tuna, salmon)
- Canned chicken
- Canned beans
- Pasta (whole-grain)
- Shelf-stable milk and plant-based milks
- Whole-grain hot and cold cereal
- Cooking oils and spices
PLEASE AVOID
- Expired items or items past the “use by” or “sell by” date
- Items in glass jars are not acceptable – due to easy nature of breaking
- Bottled Water is not being accepted at this time
