The legacy of Uncle Scrooge in comics is one of the most richest around, as the work that both Don Rosa & Carl Barks did with the character throughout the years completely and totally took it from beyond being just a Disney character and into being one of the most thoughtful explorations of character & lore that you’ll ever find.
We often tell folks that the Don Rosa’s LIFE & TIMES OF SCROOGE MCDUCK is the equivalent of doing what WATCHMEN did for superhero comics for licensed characters & Disney in particular, and if you’ve never read it: you really should.
So, the arrival of one of the best writers in comics, Jason Aaron, of SOUTHERN BASTARDS & THOR GOD OF THUNDER FAME, doing such a prestigious character: we knew we had to really scream this one out!
