One of the true legends of horror, the cult of Junji Ito continues to grow, and it’s easy to see why: he’s absolutely one of the best in any medium when it comes to telling eerie, and horrific tales.

This week, a brand new manga arrives from Mr. Ito with NO LONGER HUMAN, and it’s amazing.

Plagued by a maddening anxiety, the terrible disconnect between his own concept of happiness and the joy of the rest of the world, Yozo Oba plays the clown in his dissolute life, holding up a mask for those around him as he spirals ever downward, locked arm-in-arm with death.

Osamu Dazai’s immortal-and supposedly autobiographical-work of Japanese literature, is perfectly adapted here into a manga by Junji Ito.

The imagery wrenches open the text of the novel one line at a time to sublimate Yozo’s mental landscape into something even more delicate and grotesque.

This is the ultimate in art by Ito, proof that nothing can surpass the terror of the human psyche.

Image’s UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY #3 continues to impress with its 3rd big issue this week!

One of the best new books to debut in 2019 was Charles Soule & Scott Snyder’s UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY, and we’re totally amped to see issue #3 hitting big this week at Third Eye!

In UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY #3, the expedition undertakes a desperate attempt to rescue a member of the team from the Destiny Man’s strange caravan city.

Success or certain doom hinges on Americana expert Ace Kenyatta, PhD-what he knows about the new lands…and what he doesn’t.

This is shaping up to be one of our favorite IMAGE series to debut in quite some time, and we highly recommend you check it out!
