This October, one of the most talented writers to work on BATMAN since FRANK MILLER kicks off his next major story arc alongside one of the most influential BATMAN artists in many years. Yes, folks, we’re talking SCOTT SNYDER and GREG CAPULLO, and we cannot wait to see what these guys have in store for us as they bring the long awaited return of THE JOKER!

Following hot on the heels of their first arcs on BATMAN, the COURT OF OWLS and NIGHT OF OWLS, Snyder and Capullo are heading into some very major territory with what is going to be the biggest JOKER storyline since THE KILLING JOKE… DEATH OF THE FAMILY.

As many of you may already know, Snyder and Capullo are the definition of BATMAN dream team, and their previous work has been considered some of the best comics on the stands for 2012. If you want to catch up on the earlier issues, we do have issues 1-12 of BATMAN in stock to get you up to speed for the start of DEATH OF THE FAMILY, which begins in BATMAN #13, and spans several Bat-Family titles.

We haven’t seen or heard of The Joker in the NEW 52 since that fateful ending of DETECTIVE COMICS #1, where we saw his face having been surgically removed and tossed aside… and now, the Joker is back, and he’s badder than ever before.

This is where the big stuff goes down, and  The Joker brings a reign of terror on the entire Bat-Family, and much of Gotham itself. Snyder and Capullo: they are going to deliver some awesomeness in a big way here.

PLUS: each issue that ties into the BATMAN: DEATH OF THE FAMILY arc will carry a special die-cut cardstock special cover representing iconic moments in the Joker’s return.
